John A. Markley, Investigator - has investigative experience beginning in 1969 as a police patrolman, investigator, district attorney’s investigator and private investigator including South Beloit Police, South Beloit, IL-Sgt., Winnebago County Sheriffs Deputy, Rockford, IL, Beloit Police Department-Police Officer, Detective & SWAT Team Commander, Beloit, WI (Retired), Investigator for the Rock County District Attorney’s Office, WI. John has served as a private contractor in Amman, Jordan training Iraqi Police Officers.
Shawn M. Markley, Investigator - worked for the Winnebago County Sheriffs Department, Rockford, IL for 5 years, taught report writing to incoming correctional officers and has worked for Markley Investigations, Inc. since 2005.
Michael McDaniel, Investigator - has 34 years of experience in investigative procedures including Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, Research and Investigative Laboratories, Inc., Rockford Park District Police, Per Mar Security Services and EPI Security Services. He has worked for Markley Investigations since 2008.
Craig Johnson, Investigator - has 35 years of law enforcement experience. He served as a Patrol Officer and School Resource Officer. He served as a Detective for over 20 years. He also served on the Beloit Crime Scene Unit since it’s inception (1983). He has had speciality training in homicide investigation, death investigation, interviewing and interrogation, arson, white collar crime, sexual assault investigations and background investigations. He also taught at the Blackhawk Technical College Police Recruit Academy, training police recruits in evidence collection from various crime scenes and interview and interrogation techniques. He has been with Markley Investigations since 2018.
Jonathan Christiansen, Investigator - is an investigator and process server for Markley Investigations, Inc. His primary duties are conducting criminal and civil investigations. He also conducts surveillance and process service. Prior to working for Markley Investigations, Jon worked 2 1/2 years as a Correctional Officer with the Rock County, Wisconsin Sheriff. He was then a Beloit Police Officer until his retirement. He has been with Markley Investigations since 2017.
Kurt Wald, Investigator - served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1988 as a Security Specialist and was stationed at Ellsworth A.F.B. in South Dakota where he obtained the rank of Senior Airman (E-4). Kurt provided security for Strategic Air Command alert aircraft during the Cold War era. He earned an Associate Degree in Industrial Security from the Community College of the Air Force. He received an Honorable Discharge. Kurt worked for the Beloit Memorial Hospital as a Security Officer from 1988 to 1990. He joined the City of Beloit Police Department in 1990 and retired from there in 2015 after 25 years of service as a Patrol Officer and Field Training Officer. He has been with Markley Investigations since 2020.
Sandy Markley, Office has worked for Markley Investigation, Inc. since 1999 and has 36 years of office experience.
